Major concern after schoolboy approached in frightening incident in Wexford as gardai investigate

Gardai are investigating a suspicious approach of a schoolboy in Co Wexford on Wednesday.

A secondary school student in his teens was approached by a man in a vehicle who allegedly asked him to get inside.

The boy was walking towards Aclare in Campile and reportedly ignored the driver before he eventually left.

Gardai confirmed they are looking into the incident and are appealing for witnesses.

The boy was said to be shaken but was not injured in any way.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating a report of an alleged suspicious approach of a male in his early teens that is reported have occurred Campile yesterday, 30th September at approximately 4:45pm."
