A major clean-up is underway on the M56 after a lorry sheds its load of animal entrails.
Cheshire Police and Highways England traffic officers are at the scene of the incident on the M56 Eastbound.
Highways England reports that a specialist clean-up is taking place in the carriageway following the HGV shedding its load of offal.
One lane has been closed between J11 A56 Chester Road (Preston Brook) to J10 A49 Tarporley Road (Stretton).
Congestion is also reported to be increasing due to traffic leaving Creamfields Festival.
