A major city centre road is closed in both directions after a crash.
Police have descended on Brownlow Hill in Liverpool city centre this afternoon following a crash between Russell Street and Great Newton Street.
A large police cordon is in place outside the University of Liverpool while emergency services work at the scene.

Mersey Travel said on Sunday no buses will be operating in the area until the road has reopened and diversions are currently in place.
They tweeted: "Due to a Road Traffic Collision on Brownlow Hill, no buses will be serving here until the road has reopened. Arriva will be diverting all services via Clarence St."
Photos show seven police cars lining the road along with a fire engine and ambulance crews.
Traffic monitoring site Inrix said: "Brownlow Hill in both directions closed due to accident between Russell Street and Great Newton Street. Traffic is coping well."
