Major change to BT means you can now add Sky Sports to your package

BT are making big changes to their TV packages in 2020.

Sports fans can now get Sky's streaming service NowTV on their BT subscriptions, meaning Sky Sports channels can be added to existing BT packages.

Continuing in their bid to wrestle customers away from major competitors Sky and Virgin Media, the telecommunications giant are now offering access to Sky Sports as well as its rival's entertainment, cinema and children's channels.

The new package aims to bring together everything - including Sky's Now TV, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix - all in one place, meaning customers need just "one box, one remote and one bill".

Package prices will start from £10 a month with customers given the freedom to "upgrade, downgrade and bolt-on" to enjoy the TV to what BT describes as "changing lifestyles" from one month to the next.

Options include all four BT Sport channels covering Premier League and Champions League football for £15 per month, entertainment channels including Sky Atlantic and Sky One for £20 per month and all BT Sport and Sky Sport channels for £40 a month.

A top level package includes access to all of Sky and BT's channels and comes in at £60 per month.

Marina Storti, Managing Director, NowTV, said: “There has never been a more interesting and dynamic time for the entertainment industry than right now and we’re so thrilled to be able to launch NOW TV on BT at such an exciting time. With NOW TV’s range of passes, BT TV customers will be able to enjoy our latest award-winning shows, blockbuster movies and top quality sports content with complete flexibility, so that customers can pay for exactly what they want.”

It now aligns BT's strategy alongside Sky who offer the choice of separate Movie, Entertainment, Kid and Sport bundles from £22 per month.

This year, BT have also launched their very own Now TV-style Monthly Passes that allow customers 30-day access to their sports channels for £25.
