Major Arsenal move, Man Utd 'dream' deal, Klopp talks Liverpool plans - Premier League rumours

Premier League transfer news and rumours from around the top tier.

Maguire in pre-season hint to Man United

Leicester City star Harry Maguire is set to miss the club’s first pre-season friendly against Scunthorpe, sparking further rumours over his future as Manchester United continue to lurk.

The talented Englishman has been linked with a move to Old Trafford all summer and the latest reports have claimed he is 48 hours away from a medical.

However, the Mirror report that Maguire has been granted an extended leave and it has nothing to do with him departing pre-season to sign for United.

Ceballos makes Premier League decision

Arsenal have reportedly moved into pole position in their bid to sign Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos as they attempt to step up their summer efforts.

The Gunners have been criticised for failing to make any major signings but the Spaniard would represent a good deal.

According to the Mirror, AS report that Ceballos has decided to make a switch to the Premier League with Unai Emery’s side favourites for his signature.

Trippier to revive career in Spain

Atletico Madrid are reportedly closing in on a move for Tottenham right-back Kieran Trippier as the Spanish club continue their summer spending spree.

According to football.london, the La Liga giants are looking to sign the Englishman for £25m with the London club understood to be willing sellers.

Trippier has fallen down the pecking order with Mauricio Pochettino preferring Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters.

Fernandes set for Man United pay-rise

Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes is reportedly in for a big pay-raise should he join Manchester United.

According to the Mirror, the Portuguese has already been offered a £100k a week deal with United bidding £50m for his signature.

Whether Lisbon will accept the offer remains to be seen but Fernandes’ contract should be enough to seal the transfer.

Pochettino begs Eriksen to stay

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted he ‘hopes’ Christian Eriksen will stay amid links with Manchester United and Real Madrid.

The Dane previously stated a desire for a new challenge and has been expected to depart with just a year left on his current deal.

According to the Mirror, Pochettino said: "I hope he will [stay]…But you know, there is a lot of interest. I hope yes, but I don't know what is going to happen with that.”

Klopp leaves reporters guessing

Liverpool’s well-beloved manager Jurgen Klopp has remained mysterious over his transfer business this summer.

According to the Metro, Klopp said when asked about the potential arrival of a new full-back: “We will see. It’s not a yes, not a no.”

The Reds have been worryingly quiet so far this transfer window and it seems as though that’s not set to change.
