'Major accident' declared on Scots road after soiled pants are pinned to parking sign

A 'major accident' has been declared on a Scots road - after a pair of soiled pants were spotted pinned to a parking sign.

The grim sight stunned drivers near the A1 at the Scottish border as commuters made their best attempt to avoid the 'skids' on the road.

But locals were disgusted to see the dirty undergarments bizarrely attached to the parking sign.

One shocked resident said: "This is disgusting, why would someone do that? Minging."

Another replied: "Someone needs to learn how to wipe their ass, pure boke that."

Meanwhile, others couldn't resist the opportunity for a quick pun.

One said: "There has been a massive accident in Berwick, watch for skid marks."

Another added: "Bit of a s**t sign that one."

Another said: "I've been planning to drive down that way for a while but I don't think I'll follow through."

Another person said: "S**t, looks bad!"

While another joked: "Hoping the rain will wash them and good to go tomorrow."
