Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 13-year-old girl at Maitland Aquatic Centre last week are continuing.
The girl was pulled unconscious from the main pool about 3.30pm on Friday.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics and pool staff she could not be revived.
She died at John Hunter Hospital.
Maitland Council would not confirm on Tuesday if the incident was captured on CCTV.
"As this is an ongoing police investigation, council is unable to make any further comment at this time," a spokesman said.
Maitland Aquatic Centre is a member of the Royal Life Saving Australia Keep Watch at Public Pools partnership.
The program aims to engage with parents and carers to help them understand what is appropriate supervision at public pools.
Thirty four people have drowned at public swimming pools in the past decade.
Children under five accounted for 25 per cent of the deaths.
