Maison Chanel is auctioning a collection including some its most luxurious and beautiful pieces of clothes, bags, and jewelry that took part in fashion shows in Paris and abroad in the past decades. Organized by Artcurial, the online auction will run between January 6 and11.
This annual auction, which takes place at the beginning of every year, is an opportunity anticipated by many elegant women who hope to get their Chanel “tweed” jackets, bags, and leather garments, some of which have become rare pieces chased by collectors.
Among the pieces displayed in this year’s auction is a chamois suit worn by German model Claudia Schiffer in the fall-winter fashion show 1994, in addition to a purple jersey suit, and a pair of leather boots.
The auction also features some of Chanel’s limited-edition pieces including a yoga ball, a travel suitcase, a pair of earing, and a piece of jewelry with a green stone, in addition to photographs of models taken by Maison Chanel’s late designer Karl Lagerfeld featuring Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington during an advertising campaign in 1990.
