Maisie Williams confirmed as guest judge on RuPaul's Drag Race UK

*Spoilers for Game of Thrones seasons eight*

After killing the Night King earlier in the season, and then heading to King's Landing with the intention of killing Cersei Lannister it looked like Maisie Williams was going to leave our screens as Arya Stark in a blaze of glory.

That didn't happen.

After barely featuring in the final ever episode of Game of Thrones, her character Arya decided she wanted to see the world, then left on a ship. And no one mentioned last week's mysterious horse.

Anyone who feels short-changed by the ending for Maisie's character though, fear not. The Bristol-born actress - who recently said she would be taking a break from acting - will be back on our screens sooner than we thought.

Maisie Williams has been announced as the first celebrity guest judge on RuPaul's Drag Race UK, which airs later this year.

Maisie said: “What I love the most about drag is the story of the drag queen behind the facade. I think that so much of drag comes from a place of real pain and seeing how that transforms into a character is so interesting to me. I love that about art and about drag.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is the first UK adaption of the Emmy-winning franchise and global phenomenon and will feature some of the UK's best drag queens.

Maisie will feature as a celebrity judge for one episode where she will appear alongside RuPaul and Michelle Visage. Graham Norton and Alan Carr will appear as rotating resident judges across the eight-part series, as previously announced.

Produced by World of Wonder the UK is the first country to have an official spin off of the show.
