Maisie Smith and Max George hit with backlash for 'inappropriate' loved-up snap

Loved-up couple Maisie Smith and Max George have faced backlash on social media for the Valentine's Day posts as some unimpressed followers have claimed they are 'inappropriate'.

The smitten couple showcased their love for one another on the special day by sharing snaps from a bed full of rose petals and all the Valentine's Day trimmings.

Former EastEnders actress Maisie, 21, and The Wanted singer Max, 34, went official with their romance last September, and since then, the lovebirds have continued to gush about one another on social media.

As the pair celebrated 'love day' on Tuesday, Maisie took to Instagram to share a snap of her legs sprawled out on the rose-petalled bed as she donned a pair of sexy red heels.

Meanwhile, Max posted another loved-up snap which saw him wrap his arms around his girlfriend as the pair lay on the bed together.

Max's huge arm tattoo of Maisie's face was in full view as his arm covered Maisie's face.

The final photo shared by the couple showcased bag from controversial designer fashion-brand, Balenciaga - who were caught up in a scandal back in October for sharing images of children carrying inappropriate teddy handbags.

After Maisie shared the snap of her designer bag, chaos commenced among her followers.

Max and Maisie were called out for being 'inappropriate' for using the Balenciaga brand in their posts.

"Who’s still buying Balenciaga after... what’s come out," one fan complained.

"Love you guys but please don't buy or promote that brand anymore," someone else echoed.

"Balenciaga really?? What chance do we have if people with your two platforms are sharing this," another Instagram user fumed.

While a fourth further complained: "This is all very inappropriate. Especially that bag. Ew. Gross."

It comes after Balenciaga was heavily criticised for the products used in a controversial photo shoot.

The shocking images saw toddlers holding teddy bears dressed in BDSM outfits and a book by an artist whose work includes paintings of 'toddlers engaged in playful but mysterious acts with sinister overtones and insinuations of violence'.

The photoshoot led celebrities including Kim Kardashian to criticise the campaign saying the welfare of children must be protected above everything else.
