Main Street Baillieston closed in Glasgow as emergency services respond to report of car on its roof

Baillieston's Main Street has been shut down this evening after a car flipped onto its roof following a collision in the east end of Glasgow.

Emergency services were scrambled to the scene at around 7.45pm in response to reports a car had collided with two parked cars and ended up on its roof.

Police say emergency services remain at the scene and there is no information of any injuries at this stage.

Glasgow City Council's Traffic Control and Management team (TRAFFCOM) advised the road has been shut down between South Scott Street and Church Street.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.45pm on Tuesday, 21 September, police were called to a report of a car on its roof after colliding with two parked cars in Main Street, Baillieston.

"Emergency services are in attendance and enquiries are continuing."

TRAFFCOM advised: "Following a Road Traffic Incident, Main Street in Baillieston is closed between South Scott Street and Church Street. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible."

UPDATE: Glasgow City Council have confirmed the road has been reopened.
