A main road in Manchester has been blocked this evening after reports of a serious collision involving a motorbike.
Oxford Road has been taped off in both directions between Grafton Street and Denmark Road after reports of a motorcycle collision near Nelson Street. The condition of those involved is not yet known.
Eyewitnesses report seeing ambulance and police services on the scene near the University of Manchester, before a motorcyclist was reportedly taken to hospital.

Bus diversions are in place while the road remains partially blocked, according to online traffic reporting system Inrix.
Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
