Maid of honour admits she ‘completely failed’ her duties after seeing wedding photos

No matter who we appoint as maid of honour, they're typically assigned the honorary title on top of responsibilities and duties to make the day run smoothly. It can range from organising the hen do, making sure fellow bridesmaids are ready, and keeping an eye on the bride - that type of thing.

A woman online was left mortified after forgetting a simple wedding duty before the iconic I do's - and has shared the failed task online. TikToker @BrideMelon admitted to "completely failing as a maid of honour" after only spotting a mishap at the ceremony once she saw the photographer's pictures.

Once she shared the clip on the popular video-sharing app TikTok, it skyrocketed in views and has surpassed a whopping 1.7 million views to date.

Keeping a smile, the woman looked at the camera with Disney superstar Hannah Montana 's number one iconic hit Nobody's Perfect over the top.

"Looking at my best friend's wedding pictures knowing I completely failed her as a maid of honour..." The woman said.

The video proceeded to show a professional photo of her best friend's special day, which was on top of the lyrics, "everybody makes mistakes".

The memorable photos captured a small black hairband around her friend's wrist, which was unnoticeable until the photos came to light.

"I can’t believe I actually let her walk down the aisle with a hair elastic on her wrist," she captioned the post beside a series of emojis.

Immediately putting the maid of honour at ease, fellow TikTokers reassured her worried thoughts with wedding mishaps of their own - from forgetting flowers and even noticeable outfit mistakes.

"My husband wore glasses with transition lenses to our outdoor wedding so he had sunglasses in every photo," one viewer wrote beside a laughing emoji.

"It's fine, my maid of honour forgot to give me my bouquet," a second added.

A third joked: "Girl, I didn't notice the tag on my bride's dress and you can see it in half the pictures and I have a masters in and work as a costume designer."

"My husband had his military belt on upside down for our wedding but luckily the photographer flipped it for every photo," a fourth said.
