Maharashtra: Timetable on hall tickets for SSC & HSC students

PUNE: The state board students appearing for SSC and HSC board examinations will now be able to get their subject-wise timetable on their hall tickets.

The state board has made this provision for the first time so that students do not land at the exam centre on wrong days when they do not have papers scheduled. The online hall tickets have been made available from February 8 onwards.

Chairman of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Sharad Gosavi said, “This time, we have given very personalized hall tickets to the students. The choice of subjects and the day of exam with the timing and exam centre has been mentioned specifically on each and every student’s hall ticket. It will become easier for the students to identify the days of exam and the subjects.”

The state board said the reason behind giving specific hall tickets to students was to ensure that they did not turn up for the subjects they had not chosen or land up on wrong days for the chosen subjects. They do not have to bother about the other subjects and their exam dates.

The state board had planned to implement this on hall tickets last year but the exams were cancelled due to the pandemic and there was no need for hall tickets, Gosavi added.

Earlier, the state board would print all the hall tickets and send them to all the divisional boards and then it would go to the respective schools or junior colleges. The students would visit their school or junior college to collect the hall ticket before the exams began. However, the state board started issuing online hall tickets three to four years ago.
