MUMBAI: Shiv Sena MP and chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut chose silence on Tuesday as the best reply to all allegations.
He tweeted, "Kabhi Kabhi maun sabse achcha uttar hota hai...(sometimes silence is the best answer)".
Raut a day earlier had rubbished the entries allegedly made by standing committee chairman Yashwant Jadhav saying such diaries can't be evidence. He further alleged that if the Central investigative agencies could fabricate cases then it was quite possible that they can create false diaries.
The diary entries mentions "Rs 50 lakh watch to Matoshree and Rs 2 crore gift to Matoshree."
Jadhav had clarified that Matoshree refers to his mother and the Rs 2 crore were received in donations which was distributed as donation during Gudi Padva.
Referring to the Birla-Sahara and Jain diaries, he said these diaries mentioned the names of BJP leaders and the central agencies said these diaries were untrustworthy. "Then why are you mentioning our leaders? The diaries are not proof and the central agency inspired by the BJP can create false cases, false evidence they why can't diaries be created?" he asked.
