MUMBAI: A conversation between one of the Shiv Sena’s rebel MLAs Shahajibapu Patil, who hails from rural Sangola, and his party worker about the surroundings of the Guwahati hotel where the rebel group is staying has gone viral and triggered songs and memes. “What trees, what a mountain, what a hotel! I am okay,” he says.
The comment became so popular that Patil was asked to repeat it to an amused gathering of the Shiv Sena MLAs’ rebel group in Guwahati on Tuesday.
However, it led to a taunt from Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut at his Alibaug rally. “There are those who talk about the mountains and trees in Guwahati. Those in Alibaug are as good. They are sitting in the hotel in Guwahati because they don’t have the guts to come out,” he said.
