Although the state education department has initiated a survey to take views of parents on reopening of schools, public health minister Rajesh Tope is not in favour of opening the schools.
He said, “It will not be advisable to reopen schools as vaccination for children has not started yet and they are at high risk. It is not conducive to reopen schools whereas colleges can open as those above 18 years are being vaccinated.”
