PUNE: The Centralised Admission Committee (CAP) for first year junior colleges in Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, Nashik, Amravati, and Nagpur has opened the admissions for students of non-state boards as their results were declared late.
A statement issued by the director of secondary and higher secondary education Mahesh Palkar, also the head of CAP, said, “The admissions in these five regions are being conducted online. The students can fill both part I and part II of the options form to participate in the admission.”
The CAP committee had announced various CAP rounds and declaration of merit lists recently. However, with the announcement of results of non-state board students pending, the process was not open for them.
The statement added, “Students can now also participate in the quota round or fill up the option form to tick their preference of junior colleges. The CAP committee will announce a preliminary merit list of the students where they can send their objections with respect to the name, address, marks, or any other required changes. Once received by the CAP committee and necessary changes are made, then the first merit list would be announced.”
The schedule to fill the preference for an announcement of the merit list and confirmation of admissions among other processes has been announced by the CAP last week.
The cut-off data of three rounds in the previous year has already been uploaded on the FYJC official website which students can check.
