MUMBAI: Amboli police nabbed four, including two partners of a mobile shop, from Surat on Friday who are part of a gang involved in stealing confidential banking details by asking for KYC information of an Andheri resident and siphoning Rs1.4 lakh in March.
The team reached Surat three days before they nabbed the accused, Vipul Bhodhara (32), Pradeep Rangani (27) and their accomplices Ashish Bhodhara (32) and Jemish Virani (25).
DCP (Zone IX) Manjunath Singe supervised the team. Amboli police senior inspector Bandopant Bansode, inspector Abdul Raud Shaikh and the cyber detection team managed to nab the cyber fraudsters. Singe said the Amboli police seized 153 credit cards, four mobiles, and a tablet from the four.
