KOLHAPUR: The husband of a former Shiv Sena corporator of the Islampur municipal council in Sangli district has claimed that he was physically assaulted, allegedly by the supporters of Eknath Shinde camp of Shiv Sena.
Shivkumar Shinde (49), husband of Pratibha Shinde, told police that he had left home to buy milk on Monday morning, when five to six people attacked him with sharp weapons with an aim to kill him. API Anil Jadhav said they are tracing the attackers based on Shinde’s statement.
