Maharashtra: Eunuchs murder man for not giving money in Ahmednagar, arrested

NASHIK: The Ahmednagar police arrested eight persons including four eunuchs for murdering a man in Ganesh Nagar Phata, Rahata in Ahmednagar district.

The Ahmednagar police said that on September 5, a person Dilip Abhale of Abhale Vasti, Ekrukhe in Rahata and his friend Nivrutti alias Nandu Changdev Shirsagar had been to a petrol pump at Ganesh Nagar to fill petrol, where they were stopped by a few tansgenders to demand money.

An argument had broken out between Abhale and the transgenders there.

On the same day, some transgenders and a few more men with them went to Ekrukhe village and beat up Abhale and Shirsagar with wooden sticks. Later, Abhale was shifted to a hospital for treatment. He died during the course of treatment at a hospital on September 16.

The deceased person’s son Mahesh Abahale had lodged a complaint against the concerned transgenders and other people at the Rahata police station.

On the instructions of senior police officials including SP Manoj Patil, the local crime branch of Ahmednagar arrested 8 persons including four eunuchs. The search of one more person is underway in the murder case.

The Rahata police are investigating the case further.
