MUMBAI: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Saturday said Delhi wants to destroy Balasaheb Thackeray’s Shiv Sena and the rebels were allowing themselves to be used as weapons.
Raut was responding to the Election Commission (EC) notice to both party factions asking them to submit documents in favour of their claim of being the real Shiv Sena. Raut said people will not forgive the rebels and take out their parade on donkeys. He said it is shocking the EC is raising questions on the Sena founded by Balasaheb Thackeray 56 years ago for the cause of Hindutva.
“This is heartbreaking... Rebels have broken away; they must be happy there, but are playing into the hands of Delhi’s rulers who want to finish the Shiv Sena... Uddhav Thackeray is the party president of the Shiv Sena. This is Balasaheb’s Sena and we are with this Sena,” Raut said.
