Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde in last row of Niti Aayog meet group picture, state NCP MLA Rohit Pawar tweets

MUMBAI: Taking on the NDA government for making CM Eknath Shinde stand in the last row during a group photograph after the governing council meeting of Niti Aayog on Sunday, NCP MLA Rohit Pawar tweeted: "...Despite his high status, he was given a place in the last row, it is highly improper. In my opinion, the sentiments of all Marathi persons are hurt, I am sure the government will ensure that it will not happen in future."

State NCP president Jayant Patil expressed strong displeasure over Shinde's 'insult'. "He should have immediately left the venue, instead of tolerating the insult," Patil said. According to a BJP leader, Pawar's tweet seems to be politically motivated. "In a recent meeting addressed by newly elected President Droupadi Murmu, Shinde was seated in the first row next to PM Modi. Pawar has not understood that it is not possible to accommodate all cabinet members and CMs in the first row," he said.
