PUNE: The state board of secondary and higher secondary education is investigating the video clips in circulation on various social media platforms showing students indulging in malpractices while purportedly writing the HSC papers.
Board chairperson Sharad Goswami said though the authenticity of the video clips was questionable, its team was probing the matter. “The clips can be of internal exams, from previous years or of some coaching class. I would advise students to focus on studies,” he said.
“We have not received any complaint from students or parents on this. We will get to the root of this, as it is important to know the authenticity of such videos,” Goswami said.
A Standard XII student said, “There are videos on various social media groups where students are uploading videos of mass copying.” Another Standard XII student said, “The board should investigate these videos.”
Anubha Sahai, president of the India Wide Parents Association, said many students had complained to her and she mailed a complaint to the state board office. “The hardworking students must not suffer,” she said.
