MUMBAI: The city crime branch raided a godown at Dongri and arrested two persons with prohibited 21 kgs of Agarwood and 13 kgs of its oil worth Rs 59 lakh.
Some trees of the Aquilaria and Gyrinops genus — found in parts of India and southeast Asia — produce agarwood, a resin-soaked, scented bark. Oil from agarwood is frequently added to perfumes, incense products and medicines.
