MUMBAI: The number of Covid-19 cases in the Maharashtra Police force is rising daily with 370 new infections reported in a single day on Tuesday -- 72 more against the 298 cases on Monday in the entire state.
A total of 9,401 personnel are in quarantine (home or Covid care centres) while there are 2,145 active cases in the state police force. No deaths due to Covid-19 have been reported in the police force across the state till Tuesday.
Mumbai Police commissionerate tops with 126 cop deaths in the entire police force in the state, followed by Thane City Police 37 deaths, Nagpur City 25, Pune City 20, Ahmednagar 17, Gadchiroli 16, and 12 each from Navi Mumbai and Nashik City.
