Magpies to investigate AFL fan incident

Collingwood is investigating a fan's behaviour after the AFL club's last-gasp loss to Brisbane. (AAP)

Collingwood will investigate an incident where security intervened as a fan berated the umpires following the Magpies' after-the-siren AFL loss to Brisbane.

The Magpies led for most of Thursday night's match at Marvel Stadium but ultimately fell short by a point courtesy of Zac Bailey's goal after the siren.

3AW boundary reporter Jacqui Reed posted footage on Twitter of a security guard rebuffing a yelling Collingwood fan who had climbed onto seats next to the umpires' race and was yelling at the officials as they left the field.

In the video, the security guard pushed the fan away from the clear barricades and the man then left the area.

"Collingwood will speak with Marvel Stadium security to ascertain what transpired at the end of last night's match between security and a fan," the Magpies said in a statement on Twitter.

"As it has done in the past, the club will suspend or cancel the privileges of members guilty of anti-social behaviour at matches.

"In the meantime, the club asks all supporters to respect the occasion and those around them."
