Magpies superfan rejects sex abuse claims

Jeffrey "Joffa" Corfe (in gold jacket) says he's not the man who allegedly sexually abused a boy. (AAP)

Collingwood AFL superfan Jeffrey "Joffa" Corfe says he's not the man who allegedly sexually abused a teenage boy in Melbourne more than a decade ago.

Corfe, 60, was charged in May with two counts of sexual penetration of a child under 16.

It's alleged the incidents occurred in Coburg in January 2005.

Corfe, who lives in Redbank Plains in Queensland, appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court by videolink on Friday.

"It's in issue that Mr Corfe is the offender described by the complainant," his lawyer Louis Dean told the court.

Corfe is set to face a committal hearing in December.

He is currently on bail.
