
ANOTHER earthquake has been recorded just outside of Muswellbrook, the second quake in one week.
According to Geoscience Australia the 3.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded on Tuesday at 4.42am at a depth of just five kilometres.
The quake was felt by people in the Muswellbrook and Denman areas.
Mapping from Geoscience pinpoints the quake at a point near the Mt Arthur coal mine. This is similar to the earthquake recorded on Tuesday March 23 at 1am.
The magnitude 3.0 earthquake last week was recorded at a depth of three kilometres.
