Magician X says his BGT reveal moment will stay with him until his 'last breath'

Britain’s Got Talent runner-up Marc Spelmann says the moment he revealed himself as “X” was the “best ever”.

He said: “TV doesn’t do it justice. It was like a roar in a colosseum when the mask came off. It was really, really special.

“I’ve been an entertainer for 25 years and it was one of those moments that will stay with me until my last breath.

“I’ve experienced the best that I could ever expect and I think it would be really hard to beat.”

Despite returning for a second attempt at the title, magician Marc said Chelsea pensioner Colin Thackery, 89, was the rightful winner.

He said: “You can’t but help fall in love with someone like Colin and what he’s done and what he stands for.

“I was more than happy to bow out to someone like Colin, who I have huge admiration for.”

Last year, Marc, 46, wowed audiences with his act which mixed magic with the moving story of his wife’s cancer battle when pregnant with daughter Isabella, after five rounds of IVF.

He said his motivation to appear on the ITV show again was to get a chance to finish the “hope” story.

He said: “It was all about that moment... taking that mask off and finishing what I started a year ago.”
