'Magician' - Chelsea fans go wild after Hakim Ziyech makes big impact on injury comeback

Hakim Ziyech made his long-awaited return from injury in Morocco's 3-1 friendly win over Senegal on Friday night.

The 27-year-old agreed a deal with Chelsea back in February before he could complete his move over the summer.

However, an injury suffered on his debut in the pre-season friendly against Brighton has meant an enforced period on the sidelines for the start of the Premier League campaign.

Despite not yet being available for a competitive game for Chelsea, Ziyech was called up for international duty by his country, and made his comeback against Senegal.

Where does Jorginho's future lie?

The former Ajax star came off the bench with 30 minutes remaining of the match, and played a pivotal role in two goals for his side.

He combined well with team-mates in the build-up to his side's second, before whipping in a free-kick for Youssef El Arabi to head home the third.

His impact did not go unnoticed by Chelsea fans, who are eagerly anticipating his first competitive appearance for the club.

Lampard stated before the international break that Ziyech is "getting closer but not close enough to be on the bench" for the 4-0 victory against Crystal Palace last time out.

However, he and Chelsea fans will be hoping that the Moroccan star is ready for a place in the squad for the upcoming clash against Southampton.

Chelsea have had a mixed start to the new season, winning two of their Premier League matches against Palace and Brighton, but seeing a loss against champions Liverpool.

There was also the catastrophic first-half against West Brom that saw them go 3-0 down at the break, only to recover a point.

And Lampard saw his side defeated on penalties by former boss Jose Mourinho and his Tottenham team - a bitter blow for the Blues.
