Magical New Year's Eve celebrations

Bring 2018 to a memorable conclusion and welcome the new year with sophisticated flair in the magical setting of Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.

Dining in the Garden – Toast the final hours of 2018 with family, friends and loved ones under a sparkling sky by dining al fresco in the beautiful setting of the hotel's lush green gardens. Guests will enjoy a special extensive New Year's Eve international buffet with a BBQ grill and live-cooking stations.

Menu highlights include the all-time favourite Oysters and Raw Bar Station, offering a selection of three seasonal oysters with traditional condiments; a selection of seafood ceviche and carpaccio-style Hamachi, tuna and salmon; and hand-rolled sushi and sashimi. The seafood on ice station features Atlantic lobster; rock lobster; king prawns; king crab; mussels; baby octopus; and queen scallops.

The live-cooking station includes a pasta selection with a choice of penne and spaghetti served with a choice of bolognaise, tomato or cream and mushroom sauces. The orecchiette pasta is served with Atlantic lobster.

The BBQ grill station offers a selection of Western items cooked à la minute, such as Australian lamb rack; Wagyu beef medallion; and Atlantic lobster tails. Thai dishes include river prawns with lemongrass; pork neck; marinated chicken with coriander; and Chiang Mai sausages. Other highlights include whole roasted Italian porchetta; Dijon crusted hindquarter roast beef; and seared French foie gras served with condiments and brioche bread.

This scrumptious international buffet and BBQ dinner also includes a range of Thai delicacies, such as som tam gai yang; a counter featuring speciality dishes from Isan (northeastern region of Thailand); pad Thai; and khao soi.

End 2018 with delicious dessert items that are guaranteed to sweeten and crystallise this magical evening beneath the stars. Highlights include an ice cream station with choices of vanilla, rocky road, strawberry shortbread, durian and mango; Oreo and raspberry macaroon; champagne cupcake; macadamia nut fudge pound cake; red fruit mille-feuille in the glass; baby rhubarb strawberry crumble tart; passion fruit chiffon cake; and New Year's selection of French macaroons, ivory chocolate mousse with champagne crystals, and Paris-Brest éclair. The wide selection of Thai desserts features khanom kluay chueam (banana in heavy syrup); fak thong sankaya (Thai pumpkin custard); bua loi (dumpling with coconut milk), and tab tim krob (water chestnut in syrup and coconut milk).

Magnificent entertainment is provided throughout the evening by a live jazz and soul band. A special show from the Thai Chai Yoh duo band, featuring the Thai xylophone and saxophone, will welcome all guests to the night of celebration.

Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin – Bid farewell to the final hours of 2018 and raise a glass to the new year in the sophisticated and romantic setting of Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin with a magical Thai gastronomic journey.

Our renowned Michelin-star-chef Chayawee Suthcharitchan, Head Chef of Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin, has crafted this magical ten-course New Year's Eve dinner, which begins with the restaurant's famous "street food" nibbles, such as coal-salted marshmallow; sweet pork and fruit; miang kham; tom kha bubble; khanom kruk; and Thai herb tea.

Highlights of this magical ten-course culinary journey include lobster head with rice and red curry shot; Thai ceviche with tuna and frozen avocado; foie gras and duck confit "Peking style"; scallops with buttered miso and chives; and Kobe beef lightly grilled with aged soy and burned garlic.

End this magical evening with your loved ones with Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin's beautiful and delicate desserts created for this exceptional occasion. The desserts include strawberries from northern Thailand with lime and Thai basil, and sticky rice with condensed coconut milk and Chiang Rai coffee.

To conclude these New Year's Eve celebrations, diners are invited to join the countdown to midnight in the hotel's lush green gardens, enjoying the magnificent entertainment whilst toasting the new year.
