Magical mystery tour

The Silver Mountain features a glider and glass skywalk.

When visiting "Tribhum: The Mystical Three Worlds", you have a choice to make: are you Team Garuda or Team Naga?

Tribhum is one of Central Phuket's exclusive attractions under its "The World Comes To Play" concept. The epic battles between these mythical creatures over the Amrita elixir of immortality have inspired this 10,000m² theme park, located in front of the Floresta zone.

The joint venture between Central Pattana (CPN) and Rightman is the world's first 3D walk-through adventure theme park and features the Great Garuda's Silver Mountain, the King of the Nagas' Underwater World and the Magic Forest.

At the heart of the theme park is the Silver Mountain, featuring a glider equipped with the latest gravity technology.

The height of a four-storey building and reaching speeds of around 45kph, a ride on the Silver Glider is a thrilling experience.

Those not afraid of heights can follow the Crystal Path, a glass skywalk that leads to Tribhum's observation point.

At ground level is a maze, where visitors can get an adrenaline rush as they are chased by demons. Then take a breather at the 360-degree Garuda Dome to watch an action-packed 3D animation of fights between the man-bird hybrid Great Garuda and serpent-like King of the Nagas.

The latter rules the Underwater World. Put on 3D glasses to experience the immersive animation in Thailand's first 4D flying theatre. The seats are elevated to 7m during screening, while mists of water and soap bubbles enhance the experience. The journey is heightened by an adventure cruise along a secret passage that opens onto the Underwater World. The highlight is the dark tunnel illuminated by real fireflies -- another world's first by Rightman.

The boat ride then takes adventurers into the stomach of the legendary Arnon fish, which carries the world and whose movement can cause earthquakes.

The third zone, the Magic Forest, charms with other mythical creatures, such as the makalee pon, a beautiful woman born of a magical tree; the half-woman, half-bird kinnaree; and the half-monkey half-oyster vanekampu.

The interactive Tree of Truth identifies which creature you are in the Tribhum story while the Talking Tree transforms your voice. Other attractions include the Blood Flower Cave, where one has to avoid touching poisonous plants, and the icy Wild Illusion forest housed in a massive pyramid with mirrored walls.

The trip to the three worlds is guided by adventure coaches, who can speak Thai, English and Chinese. They will ensure that visitors do not miss a thing while exploring the wondrous theme park.
