ORLANDO, Fla. _ The Orlando Magic wanted to give the fans a victory during their regular-season home finale.
Did they ever.
Magic fans were treated to a dominant first half as Orlando bolstered its playoff chances with a 149-113 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night at Amway Center.
Nikola Vucevic finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds for his 59th double-double of the season to lead the Magic (40-40), who reached .500 for the first time since Dec. 4 when they were 12-12.
Terrence Ross and Evan Fournier scored 25 points apiece, and Jonathan Isaac had 18 points for the Magic, who swept the season series 4-0 with the Hawks, extended their home win streak to nine and set a season-high point total.
Trae Young led the Hawks (29-51) with 22 points.
The victory pushed the Magic past idle Brooklyn into seventh in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Magic close the regular season at Boston on Sunday and at Charlotte on Wednesday.
Orlando shot 66 percent and hit nine 3-pointers on its way to a franchise record for points in the first half as they led 81-48. The previous mark of 78 was set Nov. 3, 2010, against the Timberwolves.
After Young hit a 3-pointer to start the scoring, the Magic went on a 32-5 run during the next 6:32 to take control. Isaac got the crowd fired up with a dunk off a lob from D.J. Augustin and the Magic took off from there.
They led 42-18 after the first quarter as Vucevic and Isaac combined for 26 points on 9-for-9 shooting.
