ORLANDO, Fla. _ A fourth-quarter run got the Orlando Magic close, but they couldn't maintain the momentum and saw their season come to a close with a 118-104 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series.
Nikola Vucevic finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Magic, who were making back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time since the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
Evan Fournier scored 18 points, D.J. Augustin had 15 points, Markelle Fultz had 14 and Terrence Ross had 13 for Orlando.
Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded 28 points and 17 rebounds to pace the Bucks, who move on to face the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Khris Middleton scored 21 points while Brook Lopez had 16 for Milwaukee.
It was the first NBA playoff game staged in the Disney World bubble since the Bucks inspired a multi-day suspension of play in protest of the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin.
The Magic were big underdogs against the top-seeded Bucks and couldn't maintain the momentum they grabbed when they stunned Milwaukee in Game 1.
Orlando played the series without forward Aaron Gordon, reserve guard Michael Carter-Williams and forward Jonathan Isaac seeing the court because of injuries. Their absence robbed the Magic of key defensive pieces against the team with the highest offensive rating in the NBA.
Neither team had played in four days and it showed for portions of the game, with turnovers and missed shots coming in bunches.
Orlando coach Steve Clifford said it would be important for his team not to dig itself big deficits, but the Magic weren't able to keep up with the Bucks early.
After Orlando tied the game at 31 on a Ross 3-pointer early in the second quarter, Milwaukee closed the frame with a 36-19 scoring burst to go up 67-50 at halftime. Antetokounmpo had 11 points and Middleton had 10 to spark the run as Milwaukee began scoring inside and out.
The Bucks stretched their lead to 21, at 76-55, on a Middleton 3 _ his third of the game to that point _ less than two minutes into the third quarter.
But the Magic _ behind their 3-point shooting _ rallied with a 24-7 run during the next 7 minutes and 21 seconds, with Antetokounmpo on the bench with five fouls for much of that stretch.
Fournier capped the run with a 3-pointer to make it 96-93.
The Bucks responded by scoring the next eight points. Marvin Williams made a 3 on a possession where they grabbed two offensive rebounds, Middleton hit a 13-footer and Williams drained another 3 to make it 104-93 with 5:42 to play.
Orlando's shooting also wavered down the stretch as Milwaukee pulled away to clinch the series victory.
