Magic of Branchalwood Book Fairy sprinkled across Wishaw and further afield

The magic of the Branchalwood Book Fairy has been sprinkled across Wishaw and beyond.

Since August, parents have been on the lookout for free books, which have been left in the town, and pick them up for their children to read.

Kids can keep them for as long as they want, then re-hide them for someone else to find and enjoy.

And the initiative has now taken on a life of it’s own, popping up in all sorts of areas.

Speaking to the Wishaw Press this week, the book fairy said: “It has been absolutely fantastic.

“Parents have been posting on our Facebook page telling us where the children have been hiding them and they have been all over the place.

“There are books turning up in places the book fairy has never been to.”
