Magic lose 4th straight game, fall to Bucks, 104-96

ORLANDO, Fla. _ New lineup. Same result.

Frank Vogel made wholesale changes to the Magic's starting five Sunday, but the Magic still lost to the Milwaukee Bucks 104-96 at Amway Center.

The loss was Orlando's fourth consecutive defeat.

With Jeff Green inactive because of a sore lower back, Vogel inserted Aaron Gordon at small forward.

Vogel made other moves, too. He replaced Elfrid Payton at point guard with D.J. Augustin and took Nikola Vucevic out at center and replaced Vucevic with Bismack Biyombo.

Payton and Vucevic had started all 16 of Orlando's previous games.

Gordon started the first eight games of the season before Vogel replaced him in the lineup with Green.

On Sunday, Gordon struggled on offense. He went 0 of 12 from the field.

Augustin, who finished with 11 points and five assists, gave the team an immediate offensive spark early in the game, sinking a 3-pointer and a few mid-range jumpers. The Magic also had a good rhythm on offense early on.

Evan Fournier scored a game-high 27 points, collected six rebounds and dished out a career-high seven assists. But he struggled defensively when he played at the small forward spot.

Payton played 29 minutes. He finished with 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting, and he added three assists against three turnovers.

The Magic's defense was horrid throughout the first half. The Bucks made 55 percent of their shots in the first half and carved up the Magic's halfcourt defense.

The Magic's defense improved in the second half but not enough. The Bucks finished the game shooting 48 percent from the field.

Orlando cut its deficit to 88-86 in the fourth quarter on a 3-pointer by Vucevic from the top of the arc.

But Milwaukee reeled off seven consecutive points. John Henson scored on an alley-oop. Mirza Teletovic sank a 3-pointer. And Henson dunked another alley-oop pass.

The flurry extended Milwaukee's lead to 95-86.

Orlando (6-11) never recovered.

The Bucks (7-8) received 18 points, nine rebounds and four assists from Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Vucevic finished with 17 points, 16 rebounds and three assists.

The Magic wanted to piled up some victories on their homestand, because on Monday they'll leave for a difficult five-game road trip.

Some of the fans in the announced crowd of 16,521 booed as the final seconds ticked off the clock.
