Magic Johnson uses MJ’s Steph Curry statement to make tampering joke

Los Angeles Lakers basketball is back but one thing that was absent from much of the Lakers season last year is back: Magic Johnson’s twitter presence.

Johnson was reportedly frustrated with the many times the NBA cracked down on him for tampering when commenting and complimenting some of the best players in the NBA. Praises of Giannis Antetokounmpo incurred a fine a few seasons ago but after resigning from the position of Lakers President of Basketball Operations last April, Magic is back and ready to make all of the statements about players he can.

Johnson took the opportunity of Michael Jordan saying that Steph Curry “is not a Hall of Famer yet” to make a joke about tampering.

Magic is free to be Magic again. And the Los Angeles Lakers are probably better for it as well, as the team seems more suited to compliment LeBron James’ talents than last year’s was.
