Magic Johnson tweets that he had ‘great’ working relationship with Pelinka

Amid suggestions that he was shading his colleague Rob Pelinka during his incredible 45-minute resignation press conference, Magic Johnson got back to his favorite platform to address his relationship with the person who is currently running the team.

Johnson tweeted, in an incredible deadpan form compared to his normally excited twitter feed, about his “great” relationship with Pelinka and said that they were “committed” to leading the Lakers back to their glory days. Let’s just say that the commitment was questioned in the last few days.

I enjoyed working with GM Rob Pelinka. We had a great working relationship and were both committed to making the Lakers a playoff and championship contending team again.

Earlier in the morning, Johnson also once again addressed Lakers owner Jeanie Buss.

The Lakers are now in their third day of the offseason and have yet to make any other public statements about the team’s future other than the one from Tuesday night after Magic’s resignation. Since Johnson resigned, none of the combination of Jeanie Buss, Luke Walton, Pelinka or LeBron James have spoken to the media.
