Just in case anybody was wondering if there remained any bad blood between Magic Johnson and Lakers owner Jeanie Buss after the Lakers legend’s sudden resignation last month, Johnson wanted to put those thoughts to rest.
Johnson, who has been spending a lot more time on his twitter account these days, shared a photo of he and Buss sharing dinner on Thursday evening. Both Johnson and Buss have referred to their relationship as a brother and sister bond, so it appears nothing has changed on that front even though Johnson is no longer getting paid by the Lakers.
Only a few hours after Johnson shared photos of his reunion with Jeanie, the Phoenix Suns announced that Monty Williams would be their next head coach.
Former Cavaliers head coach Ty Lue has long been seen as the No. 2 candidate behind Williams, so perhaps Buss and Johnson were talking shop about how to move forward with their No. 2 choice. However, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Lue is still awaiting an official offer from the Lakers.
