Magic Johnson’s Twitter account continues to prove he was right to leave the Lakers

Magic Johnson started his week by joining ESPN’s First Take just so he could throw gasoline and light a match on the Lakers’ internal operations. Come Tuesday, it was all back to normal for the Lakers great.

When Johnson abruptly resigned from his role as Lakers president of basketball operations, he specifically mentioned the desire to tweet as a reason for leaving.

While we have since heard that he left the Lakers because of a “backstabbing” culture and disputes with Rob Pelinka, I still want to believe that Magic quit his high-power job with a top NBA franchise to tweet stuff like this:

That is a real tweet.

Magic is so pumped for Tuesday’s Eastern Conference Finals between the Bucks and Raptors that he already has his Skinny Pop popcorn ready. Thank you for that important update, Magic. Never stop tweeting.

After all, how else would we know that Kawhi Leonard and Giannis Antetokounmpo are good basketball players?

This account continues to be everything we could have asked for and then some. We’re glad he’s now free to bless the internet with this kind of #content.

NBA fans appreciated the update too.
