Washington Redskins senior vice president of player personnel Doug Williams is getting a street named after him this week and one Magic Johnson couldn’t say enough about the development.
Grambling State University is the one behind honoring Williams, who won 36 games as the starting quarterback there.
Magic posted the above message, which partially contained the following:
“You’ve meant so much to Grambling, but also the state of Louisiana; the NFL; fans like myself, who admire you, respect you, love you. You’re a Super Bowl Champion; a Super Bowl MVP, and now, a street named after you.”
More currently, Williams has had an eventful past few years with the Redskins, playing a key role in bringing Adrian Peterson to town and surely being plenty involved in the decision to bring aboard Dwayne Haskins.
