Magic Johnson has already spoken to Kawhi Leonard, Uncle Dennis

Just when you thought he was out, Magic Johnson always finds his way back into the Real Lakers of Los Angeles. And he appears to be making moves to bring Kawhi Leonard to the Lakers to form the NBA’s newest super team with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

After Johnson suggested before the weekend that people close to Kawhi Leonard wanted to meet with Johnson, Johnson told Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times that Johnson has already spoken with Leonard and his uncle Dennis Richardson, commonly referred to as Uncle Dennis.

Although LeBron James went on the record that he was disappointed in how Johnson handled his resignation by not telling him that he was leaving his post as president of basketball operations, helping close the deal to bring Kawhi to town would more than make up for the lack of professional procedure back in April.

Leonard will reportedly meet with the Lakers and Clippers when free agency opens, but the Toronto Raptors are still expected to have a strong shot at keeping the 2019 Finals MVP after winning the 2019 NBA Championship.
