Magic Johnson congratulated Nikola Jokic on his MVP trophy after the 76ers were eliminated from the playoffs and it was so petty

Timing is everything, man. Seriously. Somebody needs to explain that to Magic Johnson.

I mean, Magic seems like the nicest guy in the world, right? There’s no way he’d do something as petty as congratulating Nikola Jokic on winning the MVP just minutes after Joel Embiid and the 76ers were eliminated from the playoffs, right?

RIGHT?!?

Obviously, there’s been a season-long discussion of whether Jokic deserved to win MVP over Embiid and that was amplified after the Nuggets were eliminated from the playoffs.

There’s absolutely no way he did that on purpose. He’s the blandest tweeter in the world. My mind won’t allow me to believe he jumped on the internet just to troll Joel Embiid, to who he has absolutely no obvious connection.

But, also, that’s exactly what happened. The timing of it all was just wild.

Just…incredible. Just look at the time stamp. It was 9:36 pm on the East coast. The game had literally just ended.

Was Magic watching it? Probably not, y’all. He was almost certainly out on a boat in Santorini or something. That’s what I choose to believe, anyway. Some would say he actually saw the game because he called out James Harden later that night.

But I don’t buy it. That was a few hours later. This reads to me like Magic had just watched ESPN and saw Harden’s awful performance over some highlights.

But everyone else? Nah, they think he’s that petty.
