ORLANDO, Fla. _ Orlando Magic coach Steve Clifford said the Milwaukee Bucks present a number of offensive challenges and come at opposing defenses from a number of angles.
The Magic may have seen all of them on Saturday.
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a game-high 35 points _ 21 in the first half _ as the Bucks sprinted past the Magic for a 121-107 victory in Game 3 at ESPN Wide World of Sports' HP Field House.
D.J. Augustin led the Magic with 24 points while Nikola Vucevic and Terrence Ross each finished with 20 points.
The Bucks now lead the best-of-7 first-round series 2-1. Game 4 is Monday at 1:30 p.m.
Orlando also wasn't able to keep Antetokounmpo away from the basket. The reigning MVP finished 12 of 14 from the field, with 10 of those field goals coming at the rim.
The Bucks also benefited from a big game from Khris Middleton, who had been held in check by the Magic through the first two games of the series (8.0 points per game). The shooting guard finished with 17 points on 7-of-17 shooting, and also contributed six assists.
Milwaukee, which led by 34 at one point, outscored Orlando 50-26 on points in the paint and shot 56.1% overall.
The game got away from Orlando in the second quarter. Leading 31-26, the Bucks went on a 35-13 run over the next 9:56. Antetokounmpo scored 10 points and the Bucks hit 6 3-pointers in the stretch as they pulled out to a 27-point lead.
The Magic went 5 of 15 from the field and committed five turnovers during the Bucks' decisive run.
Orlando shot 23.5% (4 of 17) from the 3-point line in the first half while the Bucks were 10 of 18 (55.6%), helping contribute to their 27-point lead at the break.
The lead reached 30 in the third quarter before the Magic chipped away.
A burst early in the fourth pulled Orlando within 15, at 101-86, after Augustin capped a 9-0 run with a layup.
The deficit was 12 after a Ross 3-pointer with 7:22 to play before the Bucks proceeded to go on a 14-3 run to pull away for good.
Both teams went to their bench for the final 3:33.
Magic forward James Ennis and Bucks forward Marvin Williams were ejected late in the second quarter after an altercation under the Orlando basket. The two exchanged shoves before officials, teammates and assistant coaches separated the two. Both were assessed technical fouls.
Orlando played its third consecutive game in the series without forward Aaron Gordon (left hamstring strain) and Michael Carter-Williams (left foot tendon strain). Clifford said Saturday he hoped Gordon could play at some point in the series.
