MAGA media personality Steve Bannon has advised Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to reduce religious rhetoric in military briefings.
Bannon, an advisor to President Donald Trump, stated on his War Room podcast that Hegseth's frequent religious references distract from crucial operational details.
During a briefing on US operations against Iran, Hegseth compared journalists to Pharisees, overshadowing military information provided by other officials.
Bannon suggested that while Hegseth's religious remarks might be "great," they "step on what's important" and should be toned down for Pentagon briefings.
This advice comes as Trump has also shared several AI-generated religious-themed images of himself on social media, including one portraying him as Jesus.
