MAFS UK's Gemma says she and Matt cleared the air but fell out again after the show

Married At First Sight UK star Gemma Rose has claimed she and Matt Murray 'cleared the air' after the E4 reality show filming had ended.

The 31-year-old hairdresser was left heartbroken when she discovered her husband on the show had feelings for another contestant, Whitney Hughes, and has claimed that she and barbershop owner Matt became amicable but fell out once again, writes The Mirror.

In explosive scenes aired recently on the show, viewers saw Matt and Gemma's 'marriage' come to a dramatic end during a dinner party as it came out that Matt and Whitney had feelings for one another. Gemma and Whitey's husband Duka Cav then left the series following their marriage splits. However, Matt and Whitney have re-joined the experiment as a dating couple – and viewers were outraged by the decision.

Since show wrapped, Gemma has taken to social media to share her reactions to scenes and give further insight to viewers of the programme. Now, the reality star has claimed she and Matt made up after filming wrapped but fell out once again.

Speaking in a video posted to her Instagram story, Gemma also claimed she has now blocked her ex-husband. Gemma explained to her followers: "Hi guys, sorry I'm looking a bit rough. I'm just in my local Wetherspoons, downing the cocktails, you know – two for £12.

"I just wanted to hop and say that I did clear the air with Matt – I actually reached out to him. I didn't want to leave it the way it... it got very nasty, which you'll see at the end. And then he started gaslighting me again. He started saying: 'You need to worry about what people are gonna say about you' and, you know 'what people's opinions are gonna be afterwards' so I blocked him. OK, I blocked him."

When contacted by the Mirror, Matt sad: "Gemma did reach out to me and we both cleared the air. The rest of the accusations made are false and are becoming very distressing for me. "

Gemma then added: "And Johnathan? F**k off, get a f**king life it's got nothing to do with you you were never apart of our relationship. Get your 1920s opinions and f**k off." Gemma's comments to Jonathan, who is married to Sophie Brown on the show, comes after he explained why he backed Matt and Whitney's return to the experiment in an Instagram story.

Johnathan was asked by a viewer: "You were the only one to speak out for Whit and Matt which was nice. Can you tell us why?" He then explained in a video that he thought Matt and Whitney deserved a chance to be in the experiment after potentially finding love.

It comes after Gemma claimed she "wanted to die" after she was 's**t shamed' by her husband Matt on the show. Gemma claimed during the show, a false narrative came out that she had pleasured herself in a restaurant, admitting the whole thing made her suicidal. She explained how she felt 'trapped' and had been encouraged to stay by show bosses.

"It was the worst experience of my life. I felt trapped. We weren't being held hostage but if you said 'I have to go now' – I wouldn't call it manipulation but there was coercion on their side to convince you to stay," she explained to the Daily Mail.
