MAFS Megan insists 'cheating' episode was 'edited version of events' in defiant post

Married At First Sight ’s Megan Wolfe has hit back at trolls following the latest explosive instalment of the reality TV show.

The 26-year-old Stoke native was forced to defend herself on social media after keyboard warriors called her ‘evil’ for cheating on husband Rob Voysey after Megan locked lips with Jordon Mundell at the first dinner party.

Megan has now insisted that what was shown on the Channel 4 show was ‘an edited version of events’.

Hitting back at the Instagram trolls, the reality TV star urged people to be kind.

“To everyone, remember our brides and grooms are real people with friends and family who are all reading your comments.

"We know this show can sometimes spark debate, but let's all remember to #bekind."

Megan went on: "People entering a reality show isn't your cue to spew hate. Channel your energy into yourself and start your healing.

"Only hurt people hurt people. And for that reason, I won't be responding to any more negativity. My energy is more precious than that."

However, as tensions escalated after the bombshell episode, Megan was forced to take another stand on social media after MAFS fans slammed her for her treatment of fun-loving husband Bob.

Highlighting the impact that social media abuse can have on one’s mental health, Megan insisted that people ‘forget quickly’ about other stars who have passed away after being in the public eye.

The defiant star posted a poignant collage of photos of some of the Love Island stars who tragically took their own lives after being on the show and dealing with hateful comments from the public.

“We all have very short memories don’t we,” Megan wrote alongside images of Caroline Flack, Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon.

Despite trying to make a point, Megan’s post backfired as social media users blasted her for being ‘disrespectful’ for using pictures of the late stars.

“No hate but you're not showing any accountability for cheating on your husband. Why use these photos to prove a point?” one unimpressed fan shared.

“I think using these pictures is so disrespectful,” another echoed.

It comes after Megan broke down when she realised that the majority of the other couples were in happy marriages with their couples, earlier this week.

Confiding in Alexis, she said: "It's so upsetting when you think you're going to get that love story and then it's like, oh s**t, this is not actually going to be my reality."

Eagle-eyed fans are waiting to see whether or not Megan will make the move back to Jordan or whether she will make things work with Bob.
