After weeks upon weeks of speculation, Married At First Sight‘s (MAFS) Jamie Marinos has set the record straight on her rumoured relationship with Eliot Donovan while shaving his back… in the shower.
ICYMI, the MAFS 2025 rumour mill has been in overdrive ever since the season came to an end due to an alleged romantic relationship between fan-favourites, Jamie and Eliot.
Inside sources who claimed to be close to the reality TV stars even told Woman’s Day that their connection wasn’t just a “fling”.
But now, it appears that those rumours are all… rumours.

During an Instagram Q&A, one punter asked the 2025 bride about the rumoured romance between her and the groom.
“Seriously, tell us about you and Eliot. What’s going on between the both of you?” the fan asked.
In response, Jamie confirmed that they’re just “really good friends” and nothing more, all while shaving his back in the shower.
“Eliot and I are really good friends. He’s been such a great support system, always makes me laugh, and I’m super grateful to have him around,” she wrote alongside the polarising video.
“We are both single, and focusing on ourselves at the moment — but who knows what the future holds.”
Honestly, as someone who has danced the dance of reality TV (specifically MAFS) a-plenty of times, I’m not surprised that these two are just really close friends and milking all the romance tea while they can.
In a previous interview with PEDESTRIAN.TV, the fan-favourite bride revealed that she and Eliot were “good friends in the experiment”.
“Elliot and I were actually quite good friends in the experiment,” she dished.
“Since then, he’s been such a good support person — a friend.”
Eliot also confirmed to 9Entertainment that although Jamie is “an absolute babe”, they’re “just friends”.
“Jamie is an absolute babe and I would be very, very lucky to be in a romantic relationship with her but at this point in time, we are just friends. I would say we are very close friends,” he told the publication.
“I’m not in any kind of position to be navigating a romantic relationship but I wouldn’t rule anything out and I am absolutely loving going on this journey with Jamie by my side.”
Welp, there you have it. It looks like the MAFS besties are just besties…. for now.
