It’s been just over a month since this year’s season of Married At First Sight (MAFS) finished airing on TV, but for Gia Fleur, it feels like a lifetime since she was in a relationship with her on-screen husband Scott McCristal.
The controversial bride has well and truly moved on with fellow reality star Alan Wallace, who appeared on the Stan series Love Triangle in 2023. The couple have already ticked off several relationship milestones since making things official in January, including getting matching tattoos and moving in together, and Gia revealed on PEDESTRIAN.TV’s podcast Villain Edit that she’s hoping he will propose in the next few months.
“We live together, we’re renovating the house, we’ve got guys doing the kitchen right now, and everything’s going pretty well. Hopefully, we’ll get engaged by the end of the year,” she revealed.
“I hope he proposes; I would love that. We’re just really happy and just enjoying life.”
Gia, who co-parents her 9-year-old daughter with her ex-husband, went on to say that she and Alan have also spoken about having a baby together.
“We both want the same things, and I went into this telling him like, I do want another baby, and I would like to get engaged and have a good wedding — a proper wedding, because I’ve never had a proper wedding,” she shared.
“So I was like, yeah, that’s the sort of things that I want, and he wanted the same things. It’s just a matter of time before hopefully we achieve all of those.”

Gia spills on wedding details
Although Gia has already sent Alan engagement rings, she says they haven’t thought much about what their wedding would look like — except for the fact that it has to be different to her MAFS ceremony.
“He literally said to me, ‘Could we do a beach wedding?’,” she laughed. “But if I did a beach wedding, no heels, none of that crazy dress. It would be a bit more understated.”

Who would attend Gia and Alan’s wedding?
As for which of her co-stars might make the guest list, Gia confessed she’s only stayed in contact with a handful of people from the show.
“Chris [Robinson] is one of my best friends. I’ve probably called him eight to 12 times already today. I love him,” she said.
“Chris, Rebecca [Zukowski] and Mel [Akbay], they’re the only ones I still talk to. I actually saw Luke [Fourniotis] the other day randomly, and he was really lovely to me, but we just don’t really speak much anymore.”
Notably absent from that list is Brook Crompton, who is expecting her first child with her fiancé Harry in July, and Gia’s former bestie Juliette Chae — although she insisted they didn’t have a dramatic friendship breakup.
“I feel like it was just a natural thing,” she explained. “We were just at different points in our lives, the things that she’s doing, things that I’m doing. I wasn’t really interested in trying to pursue that, really.”
So, stay tuned for a potential engagement announcement in the next few months — everyone deserves to find love!
